You’re about to discover a technique that helps you grow revenue without getting stuck in busywork, part of the Systems & Automation pillar of Stress-Free Selling.
Christina Peterson of Passive Income Journeys is a master of efficiency, having reached six-figures in her second year of business while raising three kids and working another job. She focuses on strategic, high-impact tasks that grow revenue without wasting time.

SYSTEMS & AUTOMATION
โจWhat Works for Christina
Before starting any task, Christina maps it on a simple ROI (Return on Investment) matrix. She plots tasks based on two factors: value (how much it contributes to sales) and time (how long it takes). Her top priority is always the “sweet spot”: tasks that are high in value but low in time investment.
๐The Big Wins
- Reached a six-figure income in her second year of business.
- Grew her email list from 3 to over 8,500 in a couple of years.
- Created 25 courses in that same time frame.
- Achieved this growth while working a full-time job and raising three children.
๐กThe Idea Behind It
- Forces Strategic Thinking: It stops you from defaulting to easy or familiar tasks and forces you to consider what actually grows the business.
- Eliminates “Non-Value” Work: It gives you clear permission to skip or automate tasks that are low-value and high-time, like perfecting emails or endlessly scrolling social media.
- Creates Sustainable Growth: By focusing only on what matters, you can grow quickly without burning out, as you’re not wasting energy on activities that don’t produce results.
๐Hereโs How To Do It
- Draw a simple square to use as your matrix.
- Along the bottom axis, mark “Time Invested” – the further right, the longer it takes.
- Along the side axis, mark “Value” – the higher up, the more sales value it brings.
- Your focus should go first to the tasks in the top-left corner: high return, low time.
- Skip or automate tasks that fall in the bottom-right corner (low value, high time).
๐ ๏ธ Tips & Tools
- Use the square physically the first few times to get used to considering tasks this way. Soon, you’ll just do it in your head.
- Be ruthless about saying “no.” Christina doesn’t do social media, podcasts, or even have a proper logo because they don’t pass her ROI test.
๐In Her Own Words
“This helps me stay strategic instead of getting stuck in work that doesn’t actually grow revenue.”
