30 Days of Experiments – Carmen Chan

Day 15: Small Launch, Big Validation 🚀

Welcome to Day 15 of the 30 Days of Experiments.

This is a pop-up newsletter put together by Sree from Snazzy Designs. I’ve brought 26 creators together to share one short business experiment they have tried – and how you can do the same.

Meet Carmen Chan

Carmen is a 6-figure digital product seller and AI educator helping Etsy sellers and KDP publishers create high-quality digital products using modern AI tools. Specializing in Canva, AI-generated clipart, PNG designs, and printable workflows, she teaches creators how to turn simple prompts into polished, sellable products efficiently. Through step-by-step training, practical resources, and time-saving PLR templates, she helps digital sellers streamline their workflow and build scalable product lines without overwhelm.

The Experiment

In the last 6 months, Carmen tested demand for a low-cost recurring suite of creator tools designed to help printable and activity page sellers produce content faster. Instead of building a full platform upfront, she launched five core tools to a small inner circle group to validate real usage and willingness to pay. She collected feedback directly through email and monitored engagement before expanding. After confirming strong interest, she increased the offering to twelve tools while refining tutorials and implementation support.

🏆The Result

✅ Validated clear demand for ongoing creator tools on top of one-time template products
✅ Users expressed interest in continued access, signaling retention potential
✅ Expanding from 5 to 12 tools increased perceived value and strengthened renewal intent
✅ Pairing tools with training significantly improved adoption
✅ Confirmed the viability of a recurring revenue model before investing in a larger launch

🛠️ Tips & Tools

  • Start small and charge early – willingness to pay is the strongest validation signal.
  • Release a limited version to a trusted beta group rather than overbuilding.
  • Collect direct, structured feedback and iterate quickly.
  • Add training or guidance alongside tools to improve adoption and retention.
  • Only scale once usage patterns clearly support expansion.

💡In Her Own Words

“Track real behavior, not just enthusiasm.”
