30 Days of Experiments – Cat Rowley
Day 29: From Tech Lessons to PLR Templates ๐
Welcome to Day 29 of the 30 Days of Experiments.
This is a pop-up newsletter put together by Sree from Snazzy Designs. Iโve brought 26 creators together to share one short business experiment they have tried – and how you can do the same.
You can view all issues of the 30 Days of Experiments here.
Meet Cat Rowley
Teaching is Cat’s passion. She combines her knowledge of online business tech with her teaching background to help creators feel confident and capable of managing their own tech. She also recently launched the Digital Template Library, a membership packed with PLR templates designed for mums and educators. Cat lives in Edinburgh, Scotland, with her husband and their four children.

โจThe Experiment
Cat decided to deviate (pivot!) from her business focused around teaching people how to master their tech and launch a PLR membership. It had been suggested to her for a while (a couple of years!) that she should consider a PLR membership to complement her tech teaching business, and she had been pushing against the idea.
๐The Result
โ
Outperformed her tech membership in just three months
โ
Grew her email list significantly
โ
Attracted more subscribers than her original membership
โ
Discovered she loves creating digital products as a refreshing change from teaching content
โ
Still incorporates teaching around the PLR products, staying true to her passion
๐ ๏ธ Tips & Tools
- Consider a low-cost membership that supports or works alongside your current business.
- Stick to a framework that works for you. Skip live calls if they don’t fit your life or make you happy.
- Start with solid content and bonuses that complement the membership.
- Build an email list interested in your membership theme before launching.
- Recruit affiliates early – they’ll speed up subscription growth
๐กIn Her Own Words
“It had been suggested to me for a couple of years (!) that I should consider creating and selling PLR products as part of my business. I had resisted it because I love teaching so much and really wanted to help people with their online business tech but I’m so glad that I went all in and tried it because it’s been such a boost to my business in all areasโฆ and I’m loving the change! Definitley recommend adding a complimentary membership to your business.”
