30 Days of Experiments – Sue Fleckenstein

Day 23: Customization > Standard Templates ๐Ÿ“

Welcome to Day 23 of the 30 Days of Experiments.

This is a pop-up newsletter put together by Sree from Snazzy Designs. Iโ€™ve brought 26 creators together to share one short business experiment they have tried – and how you can do the same.

You can view all issues of the 30 Days of Experiments here.

Meet Sue Fleckenstein

Sue is well known for being one of the first people to use PowerPoint to create journals, planners, and printables. She now offers her templates with Canva versions too. Customers use Sue’s templates to create their own business products, such as selling printables and journals to others, building an Etsy store and adding more products to their inventory.

โœจThe Experiment

Sue started offering to help customize customer orders. Instead of just delivering the standard template, she began personalizing orders based on customer needs.

๐Ÿ†The Result

So far she’d say yes, it’s working – though it’s still a fairly new experiment to say definitively. The personalized touch has been well-received by customers.

๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Tips & Tools

  • Make sure you have time to do this, or have someone who can help you.
  • Ensure that the end result is clearly different from the standard offering.
  • Add any extras as a bonus surprise – this could be descriptions for Etsy, tags, keywords or even a mockup template.

๐Ÿ’กIn Her Own Words

“As with anything over deliver to a certain extent!”

๐Ÿ”—Want More?

The VIP Pass gets you FREE access to Sue’s PLR Gratitude Toolbox (regularly $17). This toolbox offers editable printables perfect for creating new products to add to your store inventory.

The image displays the phrase "miss FANCY PLANS" in pink and gold text with three gold and pink star accents on a light pink background, making it perfect for a 30DOE or DOE Sponsor Footer graphic.
A cloud-shaped graphic with the text "Cloudtiful Biz" in bold and regular font, a small sparkle icon on the upper right, and a subtle "30DOE Sponsor Footer" detail beneath.
Logo for "Creator OS" featuring a green striped circle partially overlapped by a red outline circle, with the words "Creator" in black and "OS" in red textโ€”ideal for use as a footer or sponsor badge for 30DOE.
